Pearl A. Szymanski, 93, Stevens Point, died Monday, October 12, 2015, at North Haven Assisted Living Center under the care of Heartland Hospice after more than a decade-long battle with Alzheimer's disease.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday October 15, 2015, at St. Peter Catholic Church with Rev. Arul Joseph V. officiating. Burial will follow in the Guardian Angel Cemetery. Visitation on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service in the St. Faustina Room at the church. Pearl was born January 6, 1922 in Stevens Point, a daughter of the late Verona (Groholski) and Harry Buza. She attended St. Peter's Grade School and graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1940.

She was married to Leonard B. Szymanski on March 27, 1941 in Milwaukee. The couple settled in Stevens Point where they lived together for the last 74 years and raised their two children. She was a homemaker and a lifetime member of St. Peter's Rosary Society Rose #20.

Survivors include her husband, Leonard "Len", her daughter Shirley "Shirl" (Jeff) Hild, and her son James (Karen Barlow) Szymanski both of Stevens Point; two sisters, Lorraine Treierweiler of Marshfield and Henrietta "Blondie" Adams of Wisconsin Rapids; two sisters-in-law, Agnes Slowinski and Margaret Buza; three grandchildren, Emily Hild, Ben Szymanski and Sara (James) Frost; and two great-grandsons, Sawyer and Rohan Frost.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Chester Buza; and two brothers-in-law, William Adams and Edward Trierweiler.
