He was the son of the late Clate and Elizabeth Hammer Finley and the husband of Doll Shaw Finley, who survives. He was a member of the Mt. Poland Baptist Church. He is survived by four sons, J.E., Charlie, and Jerry, all of Indianapolis, and Jim, Tompiinsville. Six daughters, Nancy Strode, Sara Simmons,and Runelle Crawford, Tompkinsville, Brenda Finley, Orlando,Fla., Linda White, Moss,and Nanette Finley, Dale, Ind.
