Mr. Hale, who was born in Eagleville, Mo., lived in Hemet for six years after living in Perris 17 years. He served in the U.S. Army from 1932 to 1935 and the Coast Artillery leaving as a sergeant. He was a security officer for North American Aviation. He was a member of Hemet Valley Southern Baptist Church in Hemet. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge for more than 50 years in Los Angeles and Torrance. He enjoyed camping, traveling and fishing.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Grace; a daughter, Sharon Lee Collett of La Puente; a son, Jerry Ray of Cainesville, Mo.; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a brother, Keith of Albuquerque, N.M.
