Margaret was born to Charles Jabez and Margaret Isabel (Chapman) Cork. Margaret's mother died 2 days after Margaret was born. She was raised by her maternal grandparents William and Ellen (Brown) Chapman near Capac, MI except for a short time with her Father and Step-Mother. She married James Boughner Aug. 18,1909. They had 11 children they are listed with her and her husband James.
