Born to Victor Lee Rawls and Josephine Cook-Craft of Pelion, SC, he was preceded in death by both parents and six siblings, Phereby Fulmer, Dupre Craft, Dalton Craft, Vernon Craft, Lee Rawls and Callie Craft.
Buddy was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He enjoyed working in his wood shop, watching Clemson Tiger football, NASCAR and all things John Wayne. He spent his entire career with the Loxcreen Corporation where he served as plant manager for many years. He always had a smile and a kind word for everyone.
Buddy is survived by two sons, Ty Rawls and his fiancé, Nicki Davis and her daughter, Hannah Davis of Hayti, MO and Chad Rawls and Carol Ann Coker of Columbia, SC; granddaughter, Samantha Rawls and great-granddaughter, Rozzy Nixon of Hayti, MO.; grandson, Will Schaap of Columbia, SC; brother, Joe Craft and his wife, Lou of Pelion; and sister, Betty Williams of Pelion. He will be missed greatly by them and many more family and friends.
Visitation will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, October 11, 2015, at King Grove Baptist Church, Swansea, SC. Funeral service will follow at 3 PM. The service will be performed by Pastor Cook Addy and assisted by Dr. Elton Dunbar. Graveside services will immediately follow in the King Grove Cemetery. Thompsons Funeral Home, West Columbia, SC, will oversee the services.
