Muriel C. Andress, 96, of Downingtown, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2020 at Paoli Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur Andress, who passed away in 2007.

Born in Avondale, she was the daughter of the late Everett D. and Katherine Corson Cook.

Muriel loved her family. She was always willing to help others and do for others. She was a blessing to everyone she interacted with. While she was able she was active in her church, and played her accordion at Hickory House for 30 years and at the Downingtown Senior Center. She was always doing a crossword puzzle to keep her brain functioning.

She loved crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, cooking, her family, and playing her accordion.

Muriel is survived by her daughter, Geraldine A. Wilimzig; her son, Geoffrey Andress; and a sister, Joyce Ruppel. She is also survived by four grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother and 4 sisters.

Due to the health pandemic, services will be announced at a later date.
