Fry, Betty Louise Ferguson, 80, homemaker, died Tuesday. Services pending. Serenity.

Betty Louise Ferguson Fry, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday March 9, 2010, at her home.  She was born May 22, 1929 in Wewoka, Oklahoma. She married Leonard Thomas Fry in Tulsa on November 9, 1946 and they were married for almost 52 years before his passing. She was of the Baptist faith and she was ready to go home.

Betty was a homemaker raising her seven children and helping to raise seven grandsons and always known affectionately as 'Granny Fry'. She joined the rest of the family and followed her oldest son David in his Street Stock Racing for years. She was either babysitting the grandkids or going with the girls to the Booster meetings. She won Booster of the Year in 1982 for all her support and help.

Betty loved working puzzles, quilting, reading, watching soap operas, and especially working on the family tree. She was always trying to trace her past. Her favorite pass time was going out to eat with her youngest son, Andy.

She is survived by her three daughters, two sons. Seven grandsons, and eleven great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Thomas Fry in October 1998; two sons, Richard and David Fry; her mother, Barbara Edith Shipley, and her son-in-law, J.R. Branscum.

She will be cremated and no services are planned, per her wishes.

Please remember Mama in your own way and her words, 'I want you to go on with your lives and just remember the good times.'

In lieu of flowers please donate to the charity of your choice in Betty's name.
