Edna C. Irion, age 83, of Terry, MT passed away in Billings, MT on October 7, 2015 with her husband by her side.

Edna C. Stickel was born on March 10, 1932 at home near Fallon MT, the daughter of John and Louise (Sackman) Stickel.

Edna was raised on the Fallon Flat east of Fallon.

She attended school at the Fallon School until she went to Terry High School where she graduated. Edna worked at the Bell Telephone Company in Glendive, MT for several years.

Then she married her longtime friend and high school sweetheart Clarence "Andy" Irion. They were married on May 26, 1952 in Glendive, MT.

Shortly after they were married Clarence was drafted into the United States Army, and they moved to California where Andy served in the Army for a short period of time until his honorable discharge.

Edna and Andy moved back to Andy's parent's ranch where they stayed for a few years.

Then they moved to the Fallon Pump House and Andy began working for Buffalo Rapids and Edna worked for MDU and then for Buffalo Rapids with Andy.

When they moved to Terry, Edna began her 24 year career in the Prairie County Treasurers Office, first as a deputy then as Prairie County Treasurer.

On February 17, 1965 Edna and Andy welcomed their only child Twyla Mae.
After her retirement in 1993 Edna devoted many hours at the Prairie County Nursing Home with her Mother.

Edna and Andy took great pride in their yard and garden and they shared the bounty with their many friends and neighbors. Edna enjoyed hunting with her husband and always remembered the four point buck she had taken with her shotgun.

In the early 60's Edna and Andy and two other couples built a cabin at Rock Creek on Fort Peck.

They spent many weekends during the summer at the cabin where they enjoyed boating and fishing. Edna was also proud to be a member and former president for the Republican Women's Party.
