Carl L. Barton Jr., 64, of Chicora, died Monday, Oct. 5, 2015, in Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born Dec. 3, 1950, in Kittanning, he was a son of Carl and Mary (Bowser) Barton Sr.
Carl graduated from Worthington High School in 1968 and was a member of Worthington Baptist Church, where he previously served as deacon and Sunday school teacher. After graduating high school, he worked for five years at the Butler County Mushroom Farm and then in February of 1973, he became employed at Dumbaugh Electric as a professional winder. In 1990, Carl became a part owner of Dumbaugh Electric Motors, where he was owner and executive until October 2012, when he became disabled from a massive stroke.
Carl's main goal in life was to meet the Lord in Heaven and make a stand for Christ to teach his children the ways of the Lord so they could meet him too.
Carl was a very hard worker, whose hobbies were being a farmer, tractors, farm equipment and exotic animals. Before his unfortunate disability, he was in the process of getting his pilot's license. He gave his family many happy memories through his love of the Lord and his wit and wisdom.
He was a loving husband to his wife, Susan (Crawford) Barton, who he married Nov. 7, 1970; father of two sons, Brent (Tracee) Barton, of East Brady, and Daniel (Ashton) Barton, of Chicora; and one daughter, Alesia (Thomas) King, of Fenelton.
He was the proud pappy to Stephanee, Benjamin, Jacob, Samuel, Brandon and Isabella; a great-pappy to Mayzee, who all loved him dearly.
Carl is also survived by his father, Carl Barton Sr., of Worthington; and three brothers, Barry (Karen) Barton, of Butler, Scott (Pam) Barton, of Worthington, and Boyd (April) Barton, of Cowansville.
Carl was preceded in death by his precious mother, Mary, whom he loved dearly; along with two brothers, Shawn and Jeffrey Barton.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the F.DUANE SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, in Worthington. Additional viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at Worthington Baptist Church, until time of services at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Dr. Joseph T. Simpson officiating.
Interment will be in Worthington Presbyterian Cemetery.
