Mary Aitken Harris of 77 N. Pleasant Street, died at home. She was born in Tilden on June 4, 1911. She was the daughter of Robert Jr. and Minnie Gorden Aitken.She married Henry Lowell Harris in Monmouth, IL on May 10, 1935.
Surviving are her husband; one son Raymond Harris of near Galesburg,Martha Perschnick,of Broken Arrow, Okla., Carol Haase, Monmouth,and Shirley Harris, Alexis, 19 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was a housewife and had attended Monmouth College. Funeral will be Saturday at 10 A.M. in Hinchcliff Pearson-West Chapel, with Rev. Delbert Icenogle officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 7-to 8:30. Burial in the Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial may be made to the American Cancer Society or to St. Mary's Hospital.
