Leon Gilbert Jones, 73, a lifetime resident of San Bernardino, passed away on November 20, 1984. Born November 20, 1911, he was an Investigator for 24 years for the City of San Bernardino, a member of Phoenix Masonic Lodge #178, F & A.M. and Judson Baptist Church. A veteran of U.S. Marine Corp. he was taken prisoner of war on Corregador, May 6, 1942 and liberated August 15, 1945.
Survived by wife, Vivian; son, Jim Hamlin and wife, Judie, of San Bernardino; niece, Margaret Bryan of Oceanside; nephew, Jack Peterkin of Covina.
Interment in Mt. View Cemetery.
