CLARENCE ALBERT ROGERS

Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ, Latter Day Saints, for Clarence A. Rogers, 73, who died at his home on Division St. Saturday morning, June 17. The son of George E. and Jane L. (Hicks) Rogers, he was born in Ambia, Ind. For many years he was employed as a carpenter by the Derick Bros. Construction Co. Mr. Rogers was an elder of the church where the services were held; a member of Mt. Horeb Lodge, A.F. & A.M.. of West Harwich, and of Harwich Grange. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Rose C. (Chase) Rogers; a daughter, Mrs. Wallace Garfield (Arlene), of this village; three sons, Clarence A., Jr., of Brockton, Kenneth O. of California and William B. of Dennis Port; a sister, Mrs. Florence Stokes of Indiana; two grandsons and two granddaughters, and several nephews and nieces. Elder George E. Armeson officiated at the church and a Masonic service was conducted at the Doane, Beal and Ames funeral chapel in Harwich Port Monday evening. Interment was in Swan Lake cemetery.
