Ms. Pounders was a retired office assistant and attended Lighthouse Assembly of God and Waldo Baptist Church.
Janice is survived by two sons, Peter Pounders of Paducah, KY and David Pounders of Metropolis; 2 sisters, Brenda Kerley and Pamela June Palhegyi both of Metropolis; 4 nephews Mike Kerley and wife Andra, Larry Kerley and wife Jamie, and Nick Kerley and wife Mary all of Metropolis and Nick and Mary Palhegyi of Chicago, IL; several great nieces and nephews; and lifelong friend, Debbie Conrad and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Augustine (Rogers) Pounders; four siblings, Roger Pounders, Paulette Pounders, David Pounders, and Jerry Pounders.
