Michelle Sanders, age 53, of Zion, IL transitioned peacefully on September 28, 2015 at home.
Michelle was born on December 21, 1961 to Bill North and Viola Sanders. Michelle graduated from North Chicago Community High School in 1979. She immediately joined the work force. She was employed at several prosperous companies including Johnson Outboards, Abbott Laboratories, Cherry Electric and Ameritech AT&T. Michelle also persued a further education by attending the College of Lake County majoring in accounting. Michelle accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was a member of Heavenly Place Tabernacle of Prayer under the leadership of Dr. Jimmy J. Williams.
Michelle leaves to cherish her precious memory 2 daughters, Chantaye of Waukegan and KeAundra of Zion; 1 son, DeMichael of Zion; 3 grandsons, Lil Josh, Jaheem and Ja’shon all of Waukegan, IL; 6 sisters, Tina Sanders and Vicki (Richard) Bannister both of North Chicago, IL, Marsha (Craig) Callahan of Jackson, TN, Monica and Valerie Miller of Zion, IL, Paulette Glover of Waukegan, IL; 3 brothers, Big Jim and Ricki both of North Chicago, IL and Marc of Zion, IL; also a special daughter, Tanisha Jones of Zion, IL.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Edward and Georgia Sanders; her parents, Bill North and Viola Miller; an aunt, Cathy Cook; a brother, Michael Sanders; a niece, Nakeisha Miller-Scott; an uncle, Edward Sanders.
A Celebration of Her Life Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at the First Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church, 1529 Elizabeth Avenue, North Chicago, IL. Rev. Eugene Roberson, Pastor. Dr. Jimmie Williams, Officiating. Interment will be at North Shore Garden of Memories Cemetery, North Chicago, IL. Visitation will begin at the church at 10:00 A.M.
