CAMPBELL – Elvie Rachel Green, of Greenville, died Tuesday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Services will be at First United Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Thursday with burial in Brigham Cemetery.
Rev. Hefney Green and Rev. Pat Sherman will officiate.
The daughter of Jim and Maggie Powell Lowery, she was born Nov. 10, 1908, in Copeville. On July 3, 1926, she married James “Jim” Melton Green in Campbell. Mrs. Green was a member of First United Methodist Church in Campbell.
Surviving are two sons, Harold Green of Greenville and Jimmy Green of Plano; daughter, Nell Watkins of Garland; two brothers, Luther Lowery of Woodville and Lonnie Lowery of Greenville; two sisters, Ann Preston and Mozelle Drake, both of Dallas; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Green was preceded in death by her husband on Feb. 11, 1966; two sisters; and three brothers.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at Peters Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Green, Shannon Green, Luke Molinari, Ron Watkins Jr., George Flourney, Randall White, Ron Lee, Michael Green and Terry Finley.
