Mrs. Harry G. Andreas

Jennie Young was born Sept. 3, 1872 in Rock Falls and died at her home, 106 7th avenue, Sterling Oct. 29, 1916, aged 44 years, one month and 26 days. Her childhood was spent in the twin city across the river in full view from her home for many years on this side. Her education was received in the public schools which was supplemented by a knowledge of music which brought her unusual pleasure in her home life and which proved a rich, uplifting influence in the training of her four sons.
She was united in marriage to Harry G. Andreas March 6, 1889, a relationship peculiarly happy and blessed. Four sons were born into the home to widen its joys and enrich its happiness: Lloyd, Leon, Louis and Clyde. While the first two mentioned have homes of their own, the attachment for the old home has never lessened.
Mrs. Andreas was seized with an attack scarcely ten days ago and while it was not regarded seriously, evidently her physical condition in a seemingly strong and vigorous body, was not equal to resisting the attack and she succumbed on last Lord's Day afternoon.
Mrs. Andreas was a devoted member with her sons of Zion's Evangelical church.

Sterling Standard, November 4, 1916.

Jennie was married to Harry G. Andreas (1866-1920).
She was the daughter of Lewis J. and Amanda C. Young.
