Domenico Di Girolamo was born 19-Dec-1867 in Vastogirardi, Isernia, Molise, Italy. He is the son of Lorenzo and Maria Antonia Digirolamo. He was born second of five children and two half siblings. He and his brother Emidio arrived in the US around 1890. The brothers changed their last name to Little and secured work with the Penn RR. Prior to leaving Vastogirardi, Dominic married Maria Michela Venditti. Maria and their son Louis arrived in the US in 1899. The couple had seven more children (John, Marie, Lawrence, James, Lucy, Charles and William. The 1900 Census shows the family is living in North Irwin, PA. Dominic is a Construction Foreman for the Penn RR. The 1910 Census shows the family is living in Lysander, NY. Dominic is a Foreman of Construction for the building of the New York Canal. His portion of the canal was completed around 1913. The family moved to Latrobe, PA and Dominic changed has last name back to Di Girolamo. The 1920 Census shows they established a farm (probably about 1913-1914). Dominic died on 30-Aug-1940, in Latrobe, PA. He is buried in St. Mary's Cemetery, Latrobe, PA.
