CARPENTER.--The sudden death of Reuben E. Carpenter, occurred at his home in this village, in the very early hours of Thursday morning, June 19th. Mr. Carpenter had been in his usual health, but suffered a heart attack which caused his death. He was born March 12, 1877; at North Rose, N. Y., the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Carpenter. He was an ordained Methodist minister of the Protestant Methodist Conference. After his marriage to Eva Mase Carman, he took up the profession of shoe making, which he followed until his death. A prayer service was held at the Shaver Funeral Home on Saturday evening. The body was taken to Orwell, N. Y., where funeral services were held. Burial was made in Orwell cemetery. He Is survived by one son, Egbert, of Watertown, N. Y., and two sisters of North Rose, N. Y.
