Mrs. Mary Ackermann, 64 years old, was found dead in bed at her residence on the Smithton Road Sunday morning. Coroner C. P. Renner, who investigated the case, said that death was due to a stroke of apoplexy suffered some time during the night.
Mrs. Ackermann, who was a widow, resided at the home of her son-in-law, Fred Beisiegel. Her dead body was discovered when she failed to appear for the morning meal. Her daughter went to her room and discovered that her mother had been dead several hours.
Mrs. Ackermann, nee Kraus, was born in this state October 26, 1852. She was married to Christ Ackermann and is survived by three children: Mrs. Beisiegel, Mrs. Jacob Voelkel, in Colorado and William Ackermann, in Montana.
The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon at 1 o'clock. Burial will be made at Walnut Hill Cemetery.
