Born Oct. 28, 1919 in Filer, Idaho, she graduated from Ritzville, Wash., High School and then worked at the county courthouse. She then worked as a homemaker. She spent winters in Arizona and moved to Woodburn nine years ago.
She was a member of Woodburn Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed crafts, quilting, cross-stitching, playing the piano, watching Jeopardy, Lawrence Welk and Dancing with the Stars.
She was married to Floyd Kison on March 11, 1942 in Cour D'Alene, Idaho. He preceded her in death in 1983.
She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Parkhurst of Woodburn; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Dec. 12 at 10 a.m. at the Woodburn Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Interment will be at 11 a.m. Dec. 13 at the Ritzville Memorial Cemetery.
