NOTE: Verne Elizabeth Curtiss was the daughter of Leon W and Georgiana Fenton Curtiss of Grand Dalles, WA. She grew up in Grand Dalles and then attended the University of Washington. She graduated with a degree in Education and went on to teach school for many years in Washington. She never married but enjoyed mountain climbing, canning all of her own fruit, snow skiing, and spending time with her family. She was a wonderful Aunt and we miss her dearly.
