Louis “Bubby” A. Casey, 76, of Hennepin died Sept. 26, 2015, in St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Dysart-Cofoid Funeral Chapel, Granville. The Rev. Patrick DeMeulemeester will officiate. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Hennepin.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until services Wednesday in the funeral home.

“Bubby” was born May 21, 1939, at home in Florid to Louis and Helen (Seibert) Casey. He married Barbara Miller on July 1, 1972, in Princeton.

He was a laborer for a short time and then worked as an iron worker for Union 386 for 33 years and he also worked with his son at Hennepin Marine.

“Bubby” loved fishing and hunting. He enjoyed turtle trapping, fishing and hunting with cousins and friends and made many trips to Minnesota. The last four years he and Barb have enjoyed the winters in Florida, fishing, playing bocce, euchre and making new friends.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara of Hennepin; one daughter, Dena (Mike) Yepsen of Spring Valley; one son, Richard (Lori) Casey of Hennepin; one brother, Dean Casey of Hennepin; one sister, Glenda Casey of California; one sister-in-law, Susie Casey of Fairmont and two grandchildren, Samantha and Shelby Casey of Hennepin. He is survived by several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Michael Casey; and one sister, Debra Casey.

Pallbearers will be Mike Yepsen, Darren Casey, Ken Colby, Ric Haywood, Lyn Keegan and Bill Drennen. Honorary pallbearers will be Samantha and Shelby Casey and Nic Keegan.
