Michael Brendel Jr., 75, Venice, died Jan. 23, 2002. He was born Sept. 13, 1926, in Chicago and came to Venice four years ago from there.
He was an electrician for Muntz Television in Wilmette, Ill. He was a member of Epiphany Cathedral and American Legion and Moose Lodge. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Bridget; daughters Linda McCauslin and Kathleen, both of Venice and Eileen of Chicago; a son, Steven of Venice; sisters Jeanette Walczyk and Virginia, both of Chicago, and Mathilda Campbell of Ormond Beach; brothers Fred of Morton Grove, Ill., and Ted of St. Petersburg; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Ewing Funeral Home. A Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Epiphany Cathedral. Burial will be in Venice Memorial Gardens.
