After Priscilla Burgess' death, the whereabouts of her husband Harry were unknown, and the Court had to appoint a guardian for her minor son David.

Mrs. Priscilla Burgess
Mrs. Priscilla (Hall) Burgess, 52, of 12 Duffy Lane, Springfield, died Monday at Wesson Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Born in Holyoke, May 16, 1919, the daughter of Mrs. Adeline (Warner) Hall, with whom she lived, and the late Roy Hall, she lived in Springfield 40 years. She was employed as a sales clerk in the Boston Road store of Sears, Roebuck and Co. Besides her mother, she leaves three sons, Richard of Scotia, N.Y., Raymond H. of Chicopee, and David A. at home; two daughters, Mrs. Nancy A. Ewing, of Schenectady, N.Y. and Miss Patricia Burgess of Agawam, and a sister, Mrs. Mary Tenney of Falmouth. The funeral will be Tuesday morning at Foster Memorial Church. Rev. David J. Dean, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Park Cemetery.
