Joyce Ann Paige Gray (Nanny), 83, of Mesquite, TX passed away at her home surrounded by her family on March 28, 2015. Joyce Ann was born in Laneville, TX on October 15, 1931 to Jeffery (Jeff) and Ruth Ann (Jeans) Paige.
She is survived by daughters, Sheila Munden and Debbie Cerda of Mesquite, TX. 3 granddaughters, Steffani Clark Motyka & husband, Tommy Motyka & great grandchildren: Halli, Trey, & Logan of Bastrop, TX; granddaughter, Celeste Cerda of Mesquite, granddaughter, Lisa Cerda of Dallas TX; great grandchildren: Gaige, Maddison, & Brailey; one sister, Lorraine Paige of Laneville, & one brother, Wayne Paige of Oklahoma; & many nieces & nephews. Joyce Ann was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters & 2 brothers.
Growing up, Joyce Ann and her 4 sisters, known as "The Paige Sisters" would sing Gospel on the local radio station in Laneville. Joyce Ann was the first woman Deputy Sheriff in Hunt County & Secretary for the Hunt County District Attorney for many years. After many years of working she retired and spent her days with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Joyce Ann (Nanny) was a very strong and independent woman, she loved spending time her family. The family will be having a celebration of life ceremony for Nanny on April 4, 2015.
