Jeffrey Scarpitti, 75, passed away July 13, 2015. He was born in Akron, 1939, to the late Cesare and Ara (Morris) Scarpitti.

He was a graduate of Buchtel High School, member of the ROTC program at the University of Akron and an avid member of the NRA. In 1976 Jeffrey and his beloved wife, Karen, founded Universal Plastics which continues to be family owned.

Jeffrey lived in Uniontown and Florida for the past 48 years where he devoted his life to pursuing his passions of travelling and enjoying the company of his friends and loved ones. He, along with others, earnestly spearheaded the reopening of the Sons of Herman Lodge # 10 in Akron and was a member of the Army-Navy 250. Jeffrey was also a member of VFW Post # 8463 in Cape Coral, Florida where he was charged with the maintenance of munitions used during the honoring of our American Veterans’ at their burial ceremonies.

Jeffrey was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Karen (nee Stampfle); daughter Julie Holland.Interment will be at Uniontown Greenlawn Cemetery.
