Son of William Christian and Mary Elizabeth Dilger (nee Skeggs). He was a keen athlete and a fine manly young fellow and very popular in the Swansea district.

Killed in action after being struck in the head by a piece of shell. Age: 19

His brother LCPL. Albert William Dilger, was also killed in action on 31st May 1918.
