Born June 9, 1954 in Lancaster, SC, he was a son of the late Elmer Horton and Thelma Plyler Horton. Mr. Horton was a graduate of Lancaster High School and attended U. S. C. Lancaster. He retired from Springs Industries and was a member of Great Falls First Baptist Church. Mr. Horton enjoyed fishing, hunting and bowling.
