Dean Calvin Larson
November 21, 1923 ~ September 22, 2015

Dean Calvin Larson of West Haven, formerly of Harrisville, passed away on September 22, 2015. He was born November 21, 1923 in Central, Bannock, Idaho to Selma Lelin (Anderson) and Enoch John Larson. He married Dorothy Campbell on April 18, 1946 in Pocatello, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.

Dean served his country during WWII in the Army Air Corps from 1943 1945, serving in the European Theater. He was stationed at the Deenethorpe Air Base in England, where he was a Ball Turret Gunner on the B-17 Bomber.

He was a member of the LDS Church and his favorite calling was serving as ward clerk. He also served in the Family History Center and the St. George Temple.

Dean is survived by his wife; children, Terrence D. (Paula) Larson, Roger E. (Colleen) Larson, Leigh Ann (Rex) Ashdown and Connie D. (Bruce) Stone; his sister, Donetta (Roy) Parkinson and brother, Allen (Maureen) Lenhart; 16 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father; mother; stepfather, Walter Edgar Leonhardt and daughter, Jana Gay Larson.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 25, 2015 at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. A viewing will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday, prior to the service, from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery where military honors will be accorded.
