Arthur D. Arzamarski, 71, beloved husband of Carolyn A. (Szeliga) Arzamarski, of Klondike Road, Charlestown, passed away peacefully in Providence on Thursday, March 7, 2013.

Born in Westerly, he was the son of the late Clinton and Frances Arzamarski.

A U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, Arthur was later employed for many years as a science teacher at Chariho High School until his retirement in 1990. His greatest passion was gardening and accordingly, he was active with the Chariho Future Farmers of America.

In addition to his wife, Arthur will be greatly missed by his son, Aaron J. Arzamarski and his wife, Sondra, of El Paso, Texas; a stepson, Michael Lloyd, of Hope Valley; and a stepdaughter, Donna Silva and her husband, George, of Exeter. He also leaves two grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.

A funeral service with full military honors was held on Thursday at the Chapel Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Home & Hospice Care of R.I., 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904, in Arthur's memory. Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly, is in charge of arrangements. www.gaffneydolanfuneralhome.com.
