WILLIAM SCHERER

William J. Scherer, 56, 2428 Avenue C, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Cutler Funeral Home. Husband of Margie J. Scherer.; 1 son, Theodore J.; 1 daughter, Mrs. James (Patricia A.) Nagel; mother, Mrs. Loretta Scherer; 3 grandchildren; all of Co. Bluffs, 1 sister, Mrs. Harold (Betty) Halsey, of Omaha. The Rev. Phillip Lawler, pastor of Holy Family Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Cutler Chapel.

Scherer died Monday at an Omaha hospital after a seven-week illness. He was born in Butte, Neb., and moved to Council Bluffs 31 years ago from Omaha. He was a salesman for Buller Fixture Company in Omaha.
