BANGOR – Matthew G. Mooney passed away at a local hospital on September 21, 2015, surrounded by his family. Matt was born November 8, 1965, the son of James A. and Paula (Plaisted) Mooney. After graduating from Bangor High School, he graduated from technical school in Arizona. Matt was known by all who knew him as loving and outgoing, with a wonderful sense of humor, and as a man who was generous of spirit.
Matt is survived by his mother, Paula Mooney, and his siblings, Patrick, Jeannie (George Harrison), Mary (Robert Mueller), Madonna, James, Francis, Claire and Thomas (Yilan). Also surviving are his nephews Patrick, Michael F., Dominic, Michael J., and niece Samantha, great nieces and nephews; aunts, Teresa Mooney and Jean Sprague and cousins.
Interment will be at Mt. Pleasant Catholic Cemetery, Bangor.
