She lived in her parents house at 615 East 9th South in Salt Lake City by Liberty Park. Her father died in 1919. When her mother died in 1923, Edith ran a boarding house for professional women. She was listed as a teacher in the 1910, 1920 and 1930 U.S. Census in Utah. In 1940 she was in the U.S. Census in Berkeley, California listed as a teacher. She died in Oakland, California and is buried with her brother and parents in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Salt Lake City.
