Death of O. G. Ragsdale.
Sunday morning at 10:30, at his home at 451 East Adams street, Owen Gardner Ragsdale died after an illness of several weeks’ duration followed by a paralytic stroke.
Mr. Ragsdale was born in Oldham county, Kentucky, February 16, 1847. Here he spent his boyhood days. At the age of 21, he came to Franklin, and accepted a position as local agent for the Adams Express Co., which position he held at the time of his demise.
In 1875 he was married to Miss Louise Utterback who, with one son, Byron, survives. He leaves two brothers and one sister, Edwin W. of Frankfort, John W. and Miss Sallie Ragsdale of this city. He was a member of the local lodge of I.O.O.F. and of the First Baptist church.
The funeral was held from the house Tuesday morning at 9:30, conducted by Rev. P. L. Powell. Burial in Greenlawn.
