Mae Hollingsworth Christian, 94 went to be with the Lord Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Wayne Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 pm Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Morris Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Ron Scarberry. Burial will follow at Bean Cemetery, Prichard, WV. She was born February 23, 1923 in Floyd County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Oscar and Thursa Bevil Hollingsworth. Mae was a machine operator for Owens-Illinois and a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church. Her husband of 62 years, Harry Clifford Christian also preceded her in death, as well as a grandson, Tony Christian, along with five brothers and three sisters. Survivors include a daughter, Yvonne Canterbury (Jim) of Macon, GA; a son, Dale Christian (Becky) of Kenova, WV; two grandchildren, Marty Christian of Kenova, WV, Alicia Canterbury of Oxford, MS; two great-grandchildren, Carly and Conor Christian of Kenova, WV; a special friend, Pamela Plymale; and a host of friends, caretakers and acquaintances at Wayne Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
