Shirley Joyce Denman
At 12:00 pm on Tuesday, September 15, 2015, the Gates of Heaven opened and Shirley Joyce Denman was ushered in to meet her Heavenly Host and all her loved ones that entered before her. She was born the beloved daughter of Tony Paul and Melva Jane (McClanahan) Allard, March 26, 1944. On April 22, 1962, she was joined in Holy matrimony with James Paul “Jim” Denman Jr., and he preceded her in death on October 24, 2013.
Shirley graduated from Kokomo High School in 1962. She was a homemaker and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Survivors include daughter, Kapri Kathleen (Jesus) Briones and children Katie Marie, Aubrey, Alex, Emily and Jesus III, Kokomo; son, Col. Patrick Neal (Yolanda Estep) Denman, Sembach, Germany; son Shawn Sean (Liz) Denman and daughter Christine (Austin) Bailey, Kokomo; sister in law, Patricia Louise (Patt) Townsend.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and husband, James Denman Jr.
Friends and family are invited to attend the visitation from 2-6 pm on Saturday, September 19, 2015, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 West Lincoln Road, Kokomo. In keeping with Shirley’s wishes, no funeral services are planned. Cremation will follow visitation.
