She was born in Austria and came to America as a young woman.
Mrs. Stanish lived in Utica, N.Y., for a number of years moving later to Ford City and in 1908 came to Oil City. She had resided in this vicinity since that time.
Mrs. Stanish was a member of St. Stephen Church.
Her husband died January 12, 1954.
She is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Lyle (Julia) Morrison of Shaffer Run Road, Mrs. Gregor (Ann) Eilers of Johnstown, Mrs. Annette Vidsens and Mrs. Herbert (Catherine) Stein of Oil City, Mrs. Emerson (Frances) Beal of Corry, Mrs. Joseph (Dorothy) Grill of Franklin; three sons, Michael Stanish of Halyday Run Road, John Stanish and Joseph Stanish of Shaffer Run Road; 19 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
