WOONSOCKET - Lucille L. Badeau 77, of Dunlap St. died peacefully on Monday, September 14, 2015 at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Senator Roger R. Badeau. Lucille was born in Woonsocket, the daughter of the late Lucien and Lorette (St. Onge) Barbeau.
Lucille was a homemaker for most of her life, but also worked part time for many years at the Chowder Bowl Restaurant, Traveling Gourmet, and most recently, Piette Jewelers. She volunteered for St. Joseph's parish bingo, and was a Eucharistic Minister at Woonsocket Health and Rehabilitation Center. If it was Monday you could find Lucille at Twin River. But her greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren.
Lucille was the loving mother of Marc R. Badeau and his wife Jill of Woonsocket, and Renee M. Lussier and Robert Farley of Blackstone, and grandmother of Adam, Brooke, Alexandria and Robert. She was also the sister of the late Laurent Barbeau.
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00 a.m. from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting Hours are Friday 4-8 p.m. -
