EVANS, Edna B. Age 90, of Fairfield passed away September 14, 2015 to be with the Lord. She was born June 27, 1925 in Annville KY, the youngest of 9 children to Henry Clay Baldwin and Linda (Abrams) Baldwin. She was married to Philip Evans on February 28, 1947. Edna was a graduate of the Annville Institute, Sue Bennett College, and Eastern Kentucky University. She taught elementary school in Jackson County Kentucky, South Lebanon Ohio School District, and retired from Mason Ohio Local School District. Edna is survived by her son, Kenneth (Melinda) Evans; granddaughters, Rebecca Evans and Sarah (Joe) Keller; great grandsons, Kendel Evans, Philip Keller, and Collin Keller; special friends, Colleen Story and Lois Wolfe. She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip; her parents; and 8 siblings. Edna was a member of Faith Pentecostal Church of Hamilton. The family wishes to sincerely thank all the staff of Tri-County Extended Care, Rehab Unit B; Dedicated Nursing Associates; and Queen City Hospice. Visitation will be Friday September 18, 2015 from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. at the Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH 45014. Funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Rick Witt officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Condolences may be offered at www.avancefuneralhome.com
