During that time, he also worked as an adjunct professor, which included teaching at Greenville Higher Education Center and Greenwood Higher Education Center. Between 2006 and 2009, he worked as a math teacher at Riverside High School in Western Line School District in Avon. He would come in early and stay late, tutoring students that needed any help. His students had some of the highest test scores. Then in 2007, he earned a master's in education, with an emphasis in geography. In 2015 he earned a doctorate in education.
