Barbara Westerby, age 81, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2015. Barbara was born to Helen and Howard Brong Sr., on December 10, 1933, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and was a resident of Milton for the last thirty years. Barbara was also a member of East Side Baptist Church. Until her illness, she was a friendly face as an employee of Bealls in Milton.

She is preceded in death by her brother Howard Brong Jr., her husband Ernest Westerby, her daughter Barbara Marnell, and her son-in-law Ron Marnell Sr..

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Linda Lynn of Milton, grandchildren; Ron Marnell Jr. of Biloxi, Lynda (Terry) Wells of Milton, Chris Marnell of Knoxville, Stefanie Lynn (Carl Wells) of Milton, Tina Marnell of Knoxville and seven great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 13, 2015, at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel. Visitation will be held 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Covenant Hospice and the wonderful and caring staff at Pruitt Health and Covenant Hospice.
