She was born in East Brook, ME, December 6, 1924, a daughter of the late Willis and Sylvia (Merchant) Scammon. She had been employed by Eyelit specialty Co. for 30 years until her retirement.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Joseph DePino of Wallingford, and Laura and Joe Opalski of Middletown; her grandchildren, Kimberly Carlin, Christopher Carlin, Lisa Amandola and Deborah Opalski; her brothers, Willis Scammon Jr. and Douglas Scammon; her sisters, Christine Wiley and Gladys Davis; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her grandson, Scott Carlin; and her brother, Robert Scammon.
