SIOUX CITY | Norma Jean Law, 83, of Sioux City passed away Friday, June 1, 2012, at Embassy Rehabilitation and Care Center in Sergeant Bluff.

Private graveside services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel.

Norma was born May 1, 1929 in Sioux City, the daughter of Holland G. and Bertha (Foss) Law.

She loved music and loved to sing. She was in the Believer's Choir when she was in her group home. Norma participated in Special Olympics and was very happy to receive many ribbons.

She worked for Mid-Step Services, working at Waco-Hillcrest. She had been a resident of Embassy Care Center for several years. Norma was a very happy person and loved people.

Survivors include a sister, Elma Steckelberg and husband, Bob; a sister-in-law, Jackie Smith; a brother-in-law, Dean Stoll; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hollie and Bertha Law; a stepbrother, Merle Smith; a sister, Margie Stoll; a nephew, Jeffrey Steckelberg; and her best friend, Wayne Lauristen.

The family would like to thank Embassy Care Center and Hospice of Siouxland for Norma's wonderful care.

Memorials may be given to Hospice of Siouxland in Norma's memory.
