Michael, 52, was born at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton Ohio on October 7, 1962, and passed away after a short illness on Tuesday, September 8th in Arlington Texas.
Michael graduated from Abilene High School in 1981. He received a bachelor’s degree in business from McMurry University. He also attended Abilene Christian University where he received his teacher certification in special education and was currently working as a substance abuse counselor.
Michael was passionate about many things in life. He embraced a wide variety of music and loved doing ministry by singing and worshiping The Lord. Michael also enjoyed all kinds of sports, such as baseball, basketball, golf, and was a diehard football fan of the Miami Dolphins. Michael was a faithful friend who engaged people with his infectious laugh and storytelling ability. One of Michael's greatest joys was being a father to his son Aaron, who shared his passion for sports. His love for Aaron was immeasurable
Michael is preceded in death by his son Aaron Michael Parrott, and his father, William "Bill" Parrott.
Those left to cherish his memory include the love of his life, wife, Melynn Parrott and stepdaughter, Ashley Crewse and her husband Jared. He is also survived by his mother, Bonnie Cortez and husband Ray, sister, Cheryl Davis and husband Weston, and their daughter Rachel Ledbetter. Other survivors include aunts, Carol Jean Parrott and Dorothy Kimbrel and his Godchildren Brittany Danielle Weldon, Sheilah Nicole Behrens, and Melody Michelle Behrens as well as many other family members and countless friends.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Joe Behrens, Jared Crewse, Kyle Moore, Wes Lambert, Josh Pringle and Jim Quinn.
