Ivan E. Brown, 38, died at 6 a.m. Tuesday at his home in Lexington. He had been ill with leukemia for three months.

His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Evangelical United Brethren Church with burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Keith Myer will officiate.

Visitation will begin at 2 o'clock today at the Musselman Funeral Home in Lexington.

He was born May 31, 1926, at Lexington, a son of Lawrence and Agnes Canute Brown. They survive.

He was married to Viola Anderson Jan. 6, 1947, at Normal. He was engaged in general trucking.

He is survived by his wife; his parents; three sons, John, Bill and Ray, at home; one daughter, Sandra, also at home; two brothers, Wayne and Ray, both of Lexington; four sisters, Mrs. Joe Farner, Mrs. Glenn Wilson, and Mrs. Ruby Hardesty, all of Lexington, and Mrs. Elmo Hillard, R.R. 1, Bloomington. One brother, Jerald, preceded him in death.

Mr. Brown was a veteran of World War II and attended the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Lexington. The Unit Journal, with the entire community, extends sincere sympathy to his bereaved family.
