Pauline Muir, 99, of Golden Living Center Clarion, formally of Sligo, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at the Golden Living Center.

She was born on April 13, 1916 in Reidsburg.

Pauline was the daughter of the late Harry A. and Carrie Humphrey Over.

She was married on April 7, 1934 to the late Ronald “Red” Muir.

Pauline was a graduate of the Clarion Area High School.

She was a homemaker, a waitress at the Corner Restaurant in Sligo, and was a cook at the Former County Home in Sligo.

Pauline was a member of the Sligo United Methodist Church and the Women’s Group at the church.

She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and spending time with her family.

Pauline is survived by one son, John D. Muir, two grandchildren, Debra Arbuckle and husband Rhett, and Jacquie deMontel and husband Trent, two great grandchildren, Jessica and Joey deMontel all of California, a daughter-in-law, Alice Muir of Shippenville, and also a number of cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Ronald Gail Muir, a daughter-in-law, Anna “Nan” Muir, and five sisters, Allene Over, Twila Over, Cornellia Over, Marjorie Curll, and Gladene Kline.

Family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, September 11, 2015 at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home, 638 Wood Street, Clarion.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday September 12, 2015 in the funeral home and internment will follow in the Sligo Cemetery.
