Betsey is not listed as being buried in Woodside in the Heywood source book; however, the names that are listed in the book ("Cemetery Inscriptions of Westminster Massachusetts," Central Massachusetts Genealogical Soc., July 2000) come from the gravestones, not burial records (per Forbush Memorial Library reference librarian & Town Clerk's Office, Westminster). Even if Betsey had a gravestone in 1813, it would be very unlikely that it would have survived or been legible by 2000 (when the cemetery inscriptions book was published). The Town Clerk's Office in Westminster has the death record for Betsey but no record of her burial, nor does the Westminster cemetery commissioner. The Asst. Town Clerk said: "Our Cemetery Commissioner did tell me that sometimes very young children were buried and not put on the markers." Due to the fact that Betsey cannot be found anywhere else & because both her parents are buried in Woodside Cemetery, I am placing her there.
