Funeral services for Ada Adeline Boyer of El Reno were held Wednesday, April 26, 2006, at Trinity Baptist Church with Rev. Rod Young officiating. Burial was in the El Reno Cemetery under direction of Wilson Funeral Home. Mrs. Boyer died Sunday, April 23, 2006, at Mercy Health Center in Oklahoma City. She was born Aug. 28, 1919, in Geary to Charley and Inez (Jones) Baker. She was raised in Geary and also had lived at Fort Reno. She married Carl B. Boyer on March 7, 1942, in Geary and they made their home in El Reno in 1958. Mom, as she was known by numerous people besides her daughters, was the rock of the family. She was a homemaker and thoroughly enjoyed taking care of her family. She loved gardening and cooking for all her family and friends. She was known as Grandma B by all of her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grand children. she will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Boyer; a daughter, Janice Schwab; parents, Charley and Inez Baker; brothers and sisters, Raymond Baker, Gene Baker, "Red" Baker, Perl Baker, Marietta Boyer, Myrtle Hunziker, Lucille Swimmer and Gladys North. She is survived by her daughters, Joyce Lee of El Reno, Vonda Boyle and husband, John of Tuttle, and Vickie Wiedemann and husband, Wade of El Reno; 13 grand children, Ronney Maxwell, Randi DePooter, Jessica Lee, Codie Finnigan, Kenny, Bryan and Scott Schwab, Stefanie Coker, Adam Mann, Britni and Ross Boyle and Nicholas and Nathan Pugh; 18 great-grandchildren, Fallon, Calvin and Nathaniel Maxwell, Kyle. Benefield, Reilly DePooter, Chris, Nick and Candy Schwab, Bryce, Tailor, Hunter and Chase Schwab, Braden and Lane Coker, Hayden and Caleb Pugh and Ryhea and Dakota Mann; and two great-great-grand children, Christian and Kyler Schwab. She is also survived by her very special friends, Peggy Callahan and Colette Sherer; and numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
