At the age of two, Don’s father passed away and his mother moved him and his brother and sister to California. He graduated from Redondo Beach High School in 1959, and, at the age of 21, returned to Cleo Springs, Oklahoma to be close to his family. He married the love of his life, Twila Long August 27, 1965, and they were blessed with two children, Lisa and Tim. They celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary just this August.
Don worked for Hackney Iron and Steel for 37 years, retiring in 2007. Don also served his country for 16 years in the Army National Guard earning the rank of Staff Sergeant before being honorably discharged in 1985.
Preceded in death by his parents, brother Marvin Young, nephew, Mike Young and step-father Marvin Holdeman.

Service: Friday, September 11, 2015 at Cedar Ridge Wesleyan Church with Pastor Ron Olson officiating with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to Hospice Circle of Love with Ladusau-Evans serving as custodian of the funds.
