BRISBIN - Harold (Earl) Truax, 65, of Brisbin died suddenly at his home Saturday.
A carpenter by trade, Mr. Truax was a lifelong resident of this area, having been born at Parsonville Feb. 17, 1894, a son of Newton and Marjorie (Brode) Truax. Mr. Truax was a memeber of the Loyal Order of Moose at Houtzdale.
He is survived by his wife, the former Pauline Warwick, and the following children: Mrs. Irene Archer, Brisbin; Mrs. Margaret Parks and Mrs. Marie Smith both of Osceola Mills R.D.; Mrs. Freda Pinto, Brisbin.
Three brothers, Jess and Charles of Altoona, and Boyd of Brisbin; two sisters, Mrs. Elva Melcher and Mrs. Myrtle Antesderger both of Altoona, and eight grandchilden survive.
Two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
Friends are being received at the Freeberg Funeral Home at Houtzdale until time of services at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Rev. Robert Detwiler will officiate with burial at the I O O F cemetery at Brisbin.
